1. Please explain in no more than 75 words why you are interested in a career at Bloomberg.
The world runs on Finance and Energy and, it increasingly does so on Data too. Bloomberg offers a unique opportunity to observe this new world from the inside, going beyond the appearances, understanding the root drivers, recognizing interconnections and trends. Several people at Bloomberg I reached out to mentioned the opportunities of defining their own career and a multicultural setting of great people, which I cherish, having lived and studied in four different continents.

This year I was covering the sales and outreach for an Investment Banking training provider – finding contacts and present on all calls, including, understanding needs, tailoring solution and negotiating price point.
Clients can be difficult. I was the spokesperson for controversial position at University wide referendum – performing under pressure at a live debate with interjections and questions from a vigorous audience.
At hackathons I would form a team with people I’d met on the weekend, and tackle challenges in sectors I knew little about – winning 3 prizes. I was the bridge liasing between the coders and the marketers, and often presented the final product to the judges.
Coding and data experience at a startup, see CV.
Industry team projects: At hackathons I would form a team with people I’d met on the weekend, and tackle challenges in unfamiliar industries (O&G, Finance, Travel, etc) – winning 3 prizes. I’d often be presenting our team’s final product to SVPs and industry experts (from GS, BCG, Accenture, Airbus, etc).
Strategic Thinking: by exploring policy and IR in my own time, I’ve been invited to the largest Mediterranean geopolitics conference and won a foreign policy scholarship to the IMF, World Bank and other top institutions.
Working with senior figures: I was the spokesperson for controversial position at University wide referendum and worked closely with the University CFO and Head of Strategy.
Sales: This year I was covering the sales and outreach alongside the CEO of an Investment Banking interactive-training provider – finding contacts and present on all calls, including, understanding needs, tailoring our solution and negotiating price point.
I’ve spent my university career creating opportunities – figuring it out, adapting, multitasking – and I loved the challenge.
Leading teams at hackathons (industry team based projects) and creating products within the travel, O&G, and Finance industries – pitching to industry expety SVPs in a matter of minutes.
I’ve also worked with senior stakeholders on high pressure projects – working uch as a university referendum of no-confidence
